POST 5 >> CAREER RELATED WEBSITE

I know, it's October and no one is thinking about things about biochemistry and proteins. But pay attention, today i'm going to talk to you about PROTEIN DATA BANK (insert applause). It's was the first free and open access respository in the areas of biology and medicine, in this way, it plays a fundamental role in scientific investigation. Protein Data Bank consists of a lot of downloadable files of the three-dimensional structure of proteins known arround the word. It also has a section with important information related to proteins, for example, molecule of the month, that is a section showing a particular 3D structure (it can be protein, DNA or RNA), its function and why it is relevant to this month. I must admit that I have not used Protein Data Bank since I finished the biochemistry course, but it's a really useful for studying proteins. So, if you are studying anything related to biochemistry, you don't hesitate use Protein Data Bank. BLOG POST 4: CHOICE OF TWO TOPICS

Hi everyone, today I'm going to talk about my favorite food in the world, french fries. they are so golden and crunchy, Potatoes are the most versatile food, you can prepared literally any way, like simply boiled, as a puree, etc. French fries are prepared first peeling the potato skin, then we washed with water and cut into feathers (I think it is called this way). When we have all the potatoes cut, we need to heat up enough oil and fry the potatoes. Finally we add a little of salt. I know that french fries aren´t a very good food for out health, but eating them from time to time brightens anyone's day. I think french fries are everyone's favorite food, even if they don't say so. I've never met anyone who didn't like them. POST 3 >> MY FAVOURITE PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY

I never used a computer very much, but when my old notebook crashed (I think it was in 2019) I needed to buy a new one to my classes and my homework for the University, mainly because we were in pandemic and online classes. My parents helped me to bought a new and better one and a friend helped me to chose one. Whit my new laptop I started to do a new things. Currently I playing different video games when I have time, this doesn't relly happend very often. I always try to be careful whit my laptop, it's very important and essential to my daily life, also I dont't have money to buy a new one XD. I bought a lot of accessories to my laptop, like a better mouse and a very comfortable headphones. In the future I would like to buy a better chair. I think the life without my laptop would be more difficult in many ways. (I leave you a picture of me writing my post to my laptop)

POST 2 >> WHY DID I CHOOSE MY MAJOR/CAREER?

When I was a child I wished to be a many things, like a doctor or astronaut, thats depended of my age. When I became a teenager I realized that I like chemistry and I decided study Industrial Chemistry during the third and fourth year of high school. I made my practice when I finish the high school and that same year I took the university selection test.. and I had bad results because I not studied hard. The next year I took the test again, but this time I prepare myself in a preuniversity. In this place I met a lot of people that study science, and a teacher of chemistry pedagogy career. In that moment I decided study science pedagogy, but I thought 'I am not sure about this'. When I selected my choices I put pedagogy and medical technology, but I knew I want pedagogy. At the moment I realy love my carrer but it's difficult and stressful, I want job at the school for many years, but not for life.

POST 1> WHO AM I?

 Hi everyone.

I was born in San bernardo Chile. My name is Giuliana Melinao and I´am fourth year student of Pedagogía en Educación Media en Biología y Química at the Universidad de Chile. At the moment I have left my hobbies but I really liked drawing and making porcelain figures. In my free times I watch a lot of anime and korean programs.

In my University I met a lot of great people and now they are my friends. Day by day we lunch, we study and we are stressed together. We have bad days and really great days at the University but I appreciate all the moments that we get together.

I try a few varieties of food and I think I like all of them, but mainly I liked asian food like sushi and chop suey. Anyway, I hope I have described myself well.

Act 1. Where I come from

 I am from Santiago. I was born in San Bernardo and I still live there. Now I move always in the center of Santiago but I don't like it, because the center is ugly.

In the future I want to live in the south of Chile. I want to live in a big house whit a lot of tree. I love the clean air and silence, that's impossible in Santiago. I don't know where specifically but there is still time to think about it.
